Requirements for Oxbridge entry
Places at Oxbridge are competitive. You need more than just good grades to get a place at these prestigious universities. We know how to ensure you submit an impressive application to Oxford or Cambridge. We’ll offer guidance on both academics and extracurriculars so you’re ready for the application process.
How Bellerbys helps you with Oxbridge preparation
Applying to Oxbridge can be challenging, so we offer a range of support options for all our students looking to progress to Oxford or Cambridge.
Collegiate system
One of the most unique features of Oxbridge is the collegiate system used, where students apply not just to the university, but a specific college. At Bellerbys, we use a specialist software to help students narrow down their choice in applying to the best college for them. This includes descriptions of the colleges, as well as the success rate for your subject choice.
Entrance exams
Alongside your UCAS application, Oxbridge applicants may also have to sit entrance exams. These exams are a way for the universities to filter applications. Entrance exams are challenging, but we will support you during the process. Examples of specific exams you may take, include:
- LNAT for Law
- MAT for Maths
- PAT for Physics
- HAT for History
- TSA for Economics or Politics, Philosophy and Economics
