The Undergraduate Year 1 in Business and Management programme is a one-year course equal to the first year of an undergraduate degree. Taught in London, this course prepares you for the second year of a business-related degree at university subject to achieving the required grades and IELTS/ AES (Academic English Skills) required by that university.

This programme develops your English language and study skills and prepares you for direct entry to the second year* to a choice of UK universities. Learning in London, you'll find yourself immersed in the business world from day one.

The Bellerbys Undergraduate Year 1 programme has been developed in close partnership with Aston University and is suitable for articulation on to selected Aston programmes*. Aston University is a top UK university, ranked 25th for Accounting and Finance and 20th for Business Studies. Minimum age: 17.5+
Course length: 3 or 3.5 terms
Start dates: September and January. See term dates
Hours per week:  20 to 22 plus 15 hours self-study
Entry requirements:  Completion of senior high school (and in some countries, evidence of a further year's study) and minimum of 2 A Level passes (Grade E).
English language requirements: IELTS 5.5 (no less than 5.0 in writing).

You'll receive an offer of conditional progression from Aston University. On successful completion of the Bellerbys Undergraduate Year 1 in Business and Management programme, you have the opportunity to progress to the second year of the following degrees at Aston University, subject to achieving the grade and IELTS/Academic English Studies required:

  • BSc Business and Management, including options in Economics, Accounting, Information Systems and Analytics
  • BSc Accounting for Management
  • BSc Marketing

Aston University academic scholarship

Upon completion of the programme and progression to the University, two students on the Undergraduate Year 1 programme have the opportunity to receive a scholarship of £1,500 from Aston University.
