High School Term

Studying abroad during high school will introduce you to a world of opportunity. You will make new friends, gain new skills and experience new ways of learning - inside and outside of the classroom. 

Choosing the Bellerbys College High School Term will help you gain an international perspective, confidence and independence. This can make a real different to your future education and career ambitions.

By studying one or two terms of our GCSE Pathway or A Level programmes you can develop your English language skills while experiencing life in the UK. This programme seamlessly continues your current studies so you can easily re-integrate in to your school back home after your time at Bellerbys.

Your experience will be further enhanced by a comprehensive and engaging programme of enrichment activities including trips, lectures, clubs and societies, awards and competitions that complement the main curriculum. At the end of your studies we’ll present you with a full school report as a record of your achievements.

GCSE Year 10

If you are aged 14-16 you can choose to follow part of our GCSE Pathway Programme. You’ll join classes with students on our GCSE Year 10 Academic Pathway (first year of the GCSE course) and study subjects including:

  • English
  • Mathematics
  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Physics
  • Geography
  • History
  • Physical Education 

AS Level

Students aged 16+ will follow the first year of our A Level programme (AS Level). Studying one or two terms you can choose from a range of subjects including:

  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • English Literature
  • Geography
  • History
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Psychology 

Other subject options are available and will be confirmed on application. On occasion, not all subjects will be available. Please note: before choosing your subject options you should confirm with your domestic school that you can receive credits for studying overseas.

If you need to develop your English language skills before starting your A Levels or Foundation programme at Bellerbys, the English Language Preparation Programme can help.
This fast and tailored course offers 25 hours of teaching time a week.

GCSEs are taken as a course of study before taking A levels or a Foundation pathway. Our GCSE Pathway programme offers students from the age of 14 years an early opportunity to establish the language, learning and cultural skills they need to succeed in the highly competitive world of higher education.

A Levels

A Levels are British qualifications, accepted by all universities in the UK and recognised in the USA and Australia. Students who are with us for five or six terms will typically study up to four A Levels. This gives you a world of choice. Students typically study three or four subjects with exams at the end of two years.
