Our English Language Preparation Programme is a fast and effective programme which focuses on improving your reading, writing, listening and speaking skills – enabling you to join our A Level, Foundation or International Year One programmes. This intensive course is available for one, two or three terms and can be booked when you apply to study our A Level, Foundation or International Year One course.

We have a long history of teaching students for whom English is a second or third language. We have designed our English Language Preparation Programme specifically for international students, to equip you with the communication skills and confidence you need to succeed during you studies at Bellerbys.

Our expert staff have helped thousands of students who need extra support with their written and spoken English before progression to our A Level, Foundation or International Year One course. We offer modern teaching, with a tailored approach to give you the personal attention you need.

IELTS requirements
The course you are progressing to will determine your English Language Programme requirements, our admissions team can advise you further. IELTS Entry levels: A Level 5.5 (3 Term 6.0), Foundation 4.5 (Extended 4.0 and 5.0 for November and January starts), International Year One 5.5 (5.0 in writing).

A Levels

A Levels are British qualifications, accepted by all universities in the UK and recognised in the USA and Australia. Students who are with us for five or six terms will typically study up to four A Levels. This gives you a world of choice.

Foundation

Bellerbys London Star Student Mark Lee

A one-year course for international students that builds specialist subject knowledge and language and study skills. It is more focussed than A Levels making it good preparation for university. It is recognised for entry onto a range of degree programmes at more than 100 universities in the UK.
