Durham University accepts Bellerbys Academic English Skills in lieu of IELTS

Durham University is consistently a top 10 UK university, ranked fifth in the Guardian University Guide 2020, sixth in The Complete University Guide 2020 and seventh in the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2020. Durham is also one of the world’s leading universities and is ranked 78th in the QS World University Rankings 2020.

Academic English Skills (AES) is an English language programme offered as part of the Bellerbys Foundation, providing students with the English language and academic skills required for successful study at university. AES provides their students with a solid grounding in the English language skills for academic purposes in: reading, writing, listening and speaking.

Sharne Procter, Director International Office, Durham University says: "We have carefully considered all the information provided and we are delighted to announce that as of April 2020 we are happy to accept the Bellerbys AES modules as evidence that students meet our English language requirements. We know that this will strengthen our partnership with Bellerbys College, and we hope this move will support the excellent students that we see progressing through to Durham University."
