Secured a place at Oxford University to study Physics

Zhibo Wang from Shenzhen, China, has had two excellent years at Bellerbys Brighton, during which time he won the Principal's Award for academic excellence and his contribution to the college.

He has now won a place to study Physics at St. Anne's College, Oxford, having achieved A grades in A Level Chemistry, Maths, Further Maths and Physics.

During his time at the college Zhibo was a prominent member of the Debating Society, the Student Union, the Philosophy Club and the Economics Club.

The Principal, Nigel Addison, commented: 'Congratulations to Zhibo.  He has been an outstanding student.  We particularly admire his enquiring and philosophical view of life.  He is very clever and always modest and cheerful.  I am sure he will do well at Oxford.'

Dr. Howard Cameron, his Physics teacher noted, 'Zhibo has the talent to become a fine physicist and make a real contribution!'

Zhibo was delighted with his success; 'I will miss my teachers and the many friends I have made at Bellerbys which has been a wonderful experience - but I am really looking forward to Oxford and all that I will learn there!'
