Tomiris (or Tomi as we all know her) has done herself proud with an excellent set of grades which guarantee her a place at her first choice university.

Tomi was delighted when she heard her grades in a noisy airport, about to board a plane returning to Kazakhstan after a holiday in Turkey.

During her time at Bellerbys Tomi developed a real interest in international affairs and politics and says “I have always been interested in how politics and economics affect global affairs and their interaction with one another.  I hope to return to my country after I graduate and bring my own skills and experience to help in the development of our economy.”

Her teachers describe Tomiris as an intelligent, well motivated student who works with enthusiasm in all her chosen subjects.  She is highly focused and willing to work hard to achieve her goals.  Tomi’s Politics teacher, Ian Walker, says that “she took an active part in every lesson, was very able and had a wide range of interests.”

We will miss Tomi’s grace and charm and believe that she will make the most of life as a student at UCL.
