Chan Chun Ki (Leon)

Chan Chun Ki (Leon)

Chan Chun Ki (Leon) from Hong Kong
Studied A Levels at Bellerbys London
Grades achieved: AAAab (Accounting, Further Maths, Maths, Economics & IT)
Secured a place at University College London to study Mathematics with Statistics

Foundation Programme Manager Chris Hovell, who taught Chan Chun Ki (known as Leon in the school), laughs when he remembers Leon’s amazing performance in his Accounting classes. ““He was super fast with all the exercises!  He would finish in half the time I took to get it right!”.  Whizzkid Leon didn’t waste any time either in achieving outstanding A Level grades and getting a place at UCL.

But Leon has made someone unhappy…who?  Well, I’m afraid Economics teacher Rene Bradford was upset that he didn’t go on to study Economics at university!  Maths won Leon’s heart instead!  Rene still loves him though and says he’s “a brilliant student who left Economics for Maths, unfortunately.  I know he missed it!”.

Maths teacher John Mcdarby is of course delighted that Leon has chosen Maths over Economics!  “Leon has worked incredibly hard to achieve this”, says John.  “He has proven that he has the mathematical ability to succeed at the highest level.  Throughout his A Levels Leon has been a pleasure to teach and I am confident that he will continue to do well at university!”.

With such a great attitude to his studies and with the social skills to get on so well with his fellow students and teachers, we are all just as confident as John that Leon will be a great success at UCL.  We wish him the very best of luck!
