Malagy Galleguillos

I have been working at the Oxford centre for one and a half years; I started as the Study Centre Assistant and after a little while was promoted to Student Services Officer.  However, my “story” with Bellerbys College Oxford goes a long way back, when in April 2000 I came to the UK to study English here with Embassy CES.

I have very fond (and sometimes embarrassing) memories of my days as a student from when my English was extremely poor and it was rather difficult to communicate.  Some of the teachers who did such a great job, not only in teaching me, but also in being patient and extremely kind are still doing a fantastic job in either Bellerbys or Embassy.  And of course our Principal, Julia, continues being the same as then.

Working in the Student Services team I have first hand experience in dealing with students and I know how important it is to be welcomed with a smile.  A helpful team can make the difference between feeling well and happy or just wanting to go back home for any student.  In the Student Services team, we are committed to providing the highest standard of student support and advice.  I cannot forget that I too was once an international student.

If you come to Oxford, in your free time I suggest you visit the parks, colleges and museums.  There is also an interesting night life with night clubs, theatres and pubs.
