This new residential Bellerbys Summer course combines intensive English study with a range of academic subjects. The course both broadens students' academic knowledge and improves their ability to read, write and communicate in English.
It is especially designed both for students who wish to undertake further academic study in English before returning home to rejoin their school, and for students considering continuing their secondary education in the UK.
Improve your English and broaden your academic knowledge
Each week you'll spend 25 hours in the classroom - 15 hours learning English and 10 hours studying a range of academic subjects.
If you are aged 14-16 you'll study a selection of the following academic subjects: Art & Photography, Business, British Culture, Computer Skills, Drama, Local Studies, Maths (Statistics) and Study & Revision Skills.
If you are aged 16-19 you'll study from this selection of academic subjects: Art, British Culture, Computer Skills, Economics & International Business, English Literature, Geography, History & Environmental Science, Modern Languages, Study & Revision Skills and the UK University System.
Have fun outside the classroom!
The course also contains a full activity and excursion programme to locations of cultural and historical importance.
In the evening, after lessons are over, you might play sports, watch films, or take part in drama, quizzes or arts and crafts.
Each week you'll also go on one half-day trip to locations like Arundel Castle, Brighton Pavilion, Brighton Sea Life Centre or Bodiam Castle, and two full-day excursions to London, Cambridge, Bath & Stonehenge or Leeds Castle.
