致贝勒比斯剑桥校区校长John Rushton的感谢信

张海雯，17岁，贝勒比斯剑桥校区的奖学金学生。临近课程的结束，她将在2011年6月参加A2等级的考试。张海雯已经拿到剑桥大学、UCL大学、华威大学、布里斯托大学等高校的经济专业的录取通知书，前途可谓一片光明。现居于上海，凭着雅思成绩8.0进入贝勒比斯学院学习。

身为校长，其中一个特权就是能在视察过程中拜访各位学生的家长。因此当我二月份前往中国，进行每年的常规巡视时，就非常希望能有机会与这位年轻女士见面。而我和她在2010年也有过一面之缘，当时她还在读AS课程。

如照片所示，我与张海雯的父母进行了愉快的交谈。他们非常以女儿为傲，同时也写了一封感谢信给我，以下是信的内容：

伴随着新年的脚步，我们再次迎来了第十一届贝勒比斯学院中国学生家长会。本届家长会将于２月１９日至２６日期间在中国的七座城市举行。贝勒比斯学院是最早在中国举行学生家长会的国际学院，其教学质量及对学生的关怀照顾在同类院校中都堪称一流。家长们可以通过家长会这一绝佳的途径和各个校区的校长亲自交流孩子的学术进展以及生活福利等各方面问题，同时也可以向校长咨询孩子填报英国大学以及如何选择专业方向等具体事宜。

来自贝勒比斯学院四个校区布莱顿，剑桥，伦敦以及牛津的校长都将从百忙的工作安排中专程来到中国，参加本次家长会。同时我们也邀请了贝勒比斯学院中国学生经理，张莹女士参加本次家长会并回答家长关心的学生福利等问题。

一年一次的家长会实属难得，我们建议所有家长积极参加，以便亲自了解您孩子的学习及大学选择等细节。同时，我们也将此邀请范围扩大至所有虽然目前不在贝勒比斯学院学习但是有意到英国留学的所有学生及家长。校长们将会亲自面试申请不同专业方向的学生。学术背景优秀并通过校长面试的学生将获得高达10，000 英镑的A Level奖学金。

请注意我们的校长可能并不能够来到每个城市，并且根据行程的安排，我们一些校长与家长见面的时间可能也是比较有限。

有意预定本次家长会名额的家长们，请于2011 年 2 月 14 日前通过电话或传真预定。我们强烈建议您尽早预定，以免到时名额已满。

Impressive A Level Results for Bellerbys Cambridge

Results for Bellerbys Cambridge students have been superb again this year, with more than 10 students achieving all A grades.

Now that the results have been published, many of the students can look forward to beginning a degree course at some of the UK’s top universities.

Anna Tokar, from the Ukraine, achieved an outstanding two A* and three A grades, which will allow her to take up a place studying Economics at Cambridge University.

At least six students will be starting at UCL, including Chwen Bing Chong, who gained two A* and two A grades and will be reading Psychology.

Other star students include Vlad Melnic (pictured, top right) who achieved two A* grades and two A grades which has secured him a place to read Economics at Warwick University.

Kings College is another university that has attracted a number of students, including Diem Huong Ho (pictured, bottom right), who achieved three A* grades and will be studying Law.

Other Bellerbys Cambridge students will be taking up places at Warwick, Bristol, Edinburgh, LSE, Imperial College, Exeter, Durham and York, with others yet to have places confirmed.

Colourful New Mural for Student Common Room

In an ambitious and creative undertaking, Bellerbys A level student Vu Hoi Nam has painted a fantastic mural on the walls of the student common room at Bellerbys Cambridge. Vu Hoi Nam is planning a career in Architecture and will begin a BA in Architecture at the University of Brighton next year.

Head of Art at Bellerbys Cambridge, Fernando Feijoo, says, "He is an excellent student, who is very keen to try out lots of different ways of working and has made some excellent models and artist books which included pop-up sections."

The mural has been designed to represent college life at Bellerbys, and shows where the students have come from around the world and which universities they'll go on to.

学生公共休息室的新彩色壁画

贝勒比斯学院A level课程学生Vu Hoi Nam在贝勒比斯学院剑桥分校学生公共休息室的墙壁上画了一幅精彩绝伦的壁画，这是一项艰巨且富有创新精神的任务。Vu Hoi Nam计划在将来从事建筑行业，明年他将开始在布莱顿大学攻读建筑学学士学位。

贝勒比斯学院剑桥分校艺术系主任Fernando Feijoo说道，“他是一名非常优秀的学生，总是热衷于尝试不同方法来完成工作，他已创作了一些优秀作品以及内含立体纸雕章节的艺术家书刊。”

壁画的设计一直都反映了贝勒比斯学院的生活，展示学生们的家乡风俗，以及呈现学生们未来所升读大学的风貌。
