Richard Bowen, Head of Economics at Bellerbys Brighton, describes Lily as 'one of the cleverest and most charming students we have ever had at this college!'
Lily certainly has had an outstanding career in her two years at the college. In addition to winning the prize as the Best A2 Student of the Year she also achieved A grades in A Level Accounts, Economics, Maths, Further Maths and Physics which means that she has confirmed her place to study Economics at St. Catherine's College, Cambridge.
In additon to her academic work at Bellerbys Lily found time to sing in an international choir in Hove and during her holiday volunteered to to help local children whose schools had been destroyed in the earthquake in Mianzhu, China.
19 year old Lily, from Shanghai, was initially inspired by the writings of a Chinese poet to study at Cambridge.
She said of Bellerbys; 'I found that my teachers, especially Mr. Bowen, were also very inspiring and I will always be grateful to them. I have had a great time.'
