Secured a place at St Andrews to study Management

“There is an old saying: success = 99% diligence + 1% luck.  Therefore, If you really put lots of effort, it enables you to have success more easily.”  That’s great advice from Dai Ting Ting, one of Bellerbys London’s most outstanding A Level students of 2009 with an amazing 6 grade As.  And this is typical of Ting Ting.  Always full of enthusiasm, she is keen to share the secrets of her success and help other students do the best they can to.  So what does she recommend?

“Having the right technique to study is always important such as good time management.  It would really make your study more efficient.  For example, always list your timetable and plan for this week, this month and your long term aims and try to stick to your timetable.  Also, study for certain hours everyday and spend some hours having fun with your friends.  This is also important because then you could be more concentrated on your study and more efficient.  In addition, it is always important to try to understand and analyse and criticise the knowledge rather than just remember it.  Try to love the subject instead of trying to pass the exam, it would make you more efficient in studying as well!”

Economics teacher Rene Bradford will always remember Ting Ting as, “a bouncy student who found pleasure in being involved in everything that Bellerbys had to offer”.  She was involved in the debating society (showing a fantastic fiery character when she was passionate about a topic!), did lots of charity fundraising, and was also in charge of the Young Enterprise business programme last year.

We guess life studying Management at St. Andrews will be equally as exciting and varied for Ting Ting.  How does she feel about the upcoming experience?  “I am looking forward to it” she says, “I feel St Andrews will provide a good environment for my social life and more chances to know different people and friends.  It will offer me lots of social activities and high standard teaching in Management.  I believe that I will enjoy my university life here and try to learn golf!"

“I will definitely miss all my teachers and staff in Bellerbys who always gave me lots of help and care all the time.  I feel quite grateful for the life Bellerbys College offered to me, an international environment, good teachers and people.  Therefore, I choose to tell my brothers to study in Bellerbys London as well!”
