Our College

Just a short walk from the city centre, our riverside Oxford campus boasts three IT suites, WiFi and interactive classrooms, three science laboratories, a beautiful art studio overlooking the River Thames and a fantastic cafeteria serving international food five days a week. Accommodation

When you are away from home, it is important to feel safe, comfortable and happy. We take great care to provide a high standard of accommodation. At Bellerbys College Oxford you can choose between our city location residences or the supportive atmosphere of living with a host family (known as homestay).

Homestay

Homestay gives you the opportunity to immerse yourself fully in the UK culture and to feel part of a family, eating meals with them, and sharing their lives to get a real experience of British life. All Homestay accommodation is carefully chosen for the security and friendliness it provides and we make regular visits to ensure you have everything you need. We offer a choice of either single or shared rooms. All our hosts will warmly welcome you into their homes.

Standard Homestay is suitable for older students who are confident of living relatively independently, but with the support of a caring home environment. Students under the age of 16 stay with Homestay Plus families. These provide a higher level of support and supervision for younger students.

St Aldates - (En Suite, half-board catering)

St Aldates is our newest catered residence for students aged 14-17. It is located in the city centre, near to the river and Christ Church Meadow and within easy walking distance of the college.

Facilities include:
  • 57 59 single en suite rooms
  • Half-board catered; breakfast and dinner, seven days a week
  • Gender split areas
  • 24/7 Live-in wardens for any problems or queries
  • Laundry and bike store
  • Large communal dining area with TV

  • Pleasant kitchenettes/ with TV & DVD on each floor

Pensons Gardens - (En suite, self-catering)

Pensons Gardens is a self-catering residence for students aged 18 or over. It is located in the St. Clements area with parks, river, cafes and cinema all nearby, and is a 25- 30 minute walk or easy 15 minute bike ride from the school.

Facilities include:
  • 31 single bedrooms with en suite
  • Several fully equipped kitchens
  • Cosy lounge with TV and DVD
  • A second communal area for reading, relaxing and socialising
  • Wifi and cable high-speed internet access throughout
  • On-site laundry facilities

Activities

Bellerys College Oxford is ideally located for you to enjoy everything the city has to offer, either with your friends or as part of an organised College activity. You won’t need to stray very far to find something fun to do between your studies as there are regular events organised by the college including, barbecues, picnics and a 5-A-Side football tournament. There are also a number of academic excursions to support your studies such as guest lectures at the University of Oxford.

We always encourage students to develop themselves constructively in whatever way they wish. If any student would like to suggest ideas for activities, clubs or excursions, we will do our best to support you in your efforts. Our Extra Curricular Organiser is dedicated to making sure you make the most of your time at Bellerbys College.

Regular events

The College organises regular trips to help you make the most of living in such an exciting city. These include punting on the river, trips to see Oxford United football team play, walking tours of the city, theatre and exhibition visits and ice skating.

Clubs

There are many clubs and societies for students at Bellerbys Oxford. Whatever your interest or hobby, you can usually find others who share it. Popular clubs include economics club, business club, poetry club, music society, debating society and football club.

Further afield

You can also buy tickets for trips organised by experienced tour operators from the college reception. Why not visit other English towns and cities such as Cambridge or London. Or if you are feeling adventurous take a trip out of the country to Scotland, Ireland, Amsterdam or Paris.
