Study in London

London is known throughout the world as being a hub of cosmopolitan culture and commercial enterprise. It is a capital city rich in history and a vibrant, modern cornerstone of business. Studying in London is an excellent choice if you want to be part of a thriving, exciting city and develop your own commercial thinking.

The Bellerbys campus is situated in the Royal Borough of Greenwich just 20 minutes from London’s traditional business district (known as The City), and just across the River Thames from Canary Wharf, the new hub for London’s commercial world. This trendy corner of London boasts a strong cultural heritage reflected by the varied museums, beautiful parks and fantastic entertainment. Students love the cafés and shops in Greenwich, which offer a buzzing social scene.

London is perfect for international study with the multinational appeal and breadth of extra-curricular opportunities it presents to enhance a wide range of business topics. From museums and theatres, to sporting events and trade, London has it all.

College’s statement of Boarding Principles and Practice

The College’s aim is to enable every individual to make the most of their abilities and to fulfil their potential, and it is accepted that much of what is valuable in education takes place outside of the classroom. The College therefore aims to provide a very full educational experience in the context of full boarding, including homestay. Such a programme can often make great demands on the pupils and staff involved so the College is committed to the highest levels of pastoral care. The College’s statement of Boarding Principles and Practice can be accessed here.

Homestay

If you want to live a relatively independent life, but still have a caring home environment, Homestay is ideal.

Homestay gives you the opportunity to immerse yourself fully in the UK culture and to feel part of a family, eating meals with them, and sharing their lives to get a real experience of British life.

All Homestay accommodation is carefully chosen for the security and friendliness it provides and we make regular visits to ensure you have everything you need. We offer a choice of either single or shared rooms. All our hosts will warmly welcome you into their homes.

Activities

We believe that it is important for our students to have an active and enjoyable stay whilst at Bellerbys London and we are always looking for new ways to develop and expand the range and variety of activities available.

At Bellerbys London we have a student-run Student Union, modelled on similar organisations at most British universities. With the help of the Extra-Curricular Activities Coordinator, the Union oversees many of the colleges’ regular weekly activities. This provides a forum for students to get together to set up and run clubs and societies for themselves and other students.

Competitions

We encourage students to take part in both external and internal competitions and challenges. Our internal competitions include essay writing in Economics and Business Studies and a weekly maths challenge. Our students also take part in national competitions such as the Young Enterprise Challenge where students set up their own business, and the national Maths and Physics Olympiads.

Bellerbys Got Talent

Our annual Bellerbys Got Talent competition, held at a local entertainments venue, is an opportunity for our students (and staff) from around the world to showcase their varied talents.

Clubs

We have a large number of clubs and societies, most of which meet once a week after school, including the Economics Club, the Dance Club, the Philosophy Club, the Film Society, the Games Club and the Debating Society, just to mention a few!
