“I accepted Imperial as my first firm offer.  They offered me AAB, but this includes German which I already have.  I visited Imperial.  It was very nice.  In the interview, the guy asked me one question and said that his question was very hard and he’d give me a few hints if I didn’t know it.  So I thought for a while and then said to him, ‘I can’t solve this problem,’ and he said, ‘I can’t solve this either.’  It made me laugh and I very much liked that attitude.  Some of the other colleges I visited didn’t quite appeal to me, but that is what visits are for.
