“I’m studying at Bellerbys College Queens Campus and I’m from a city called Hai Phong, near the capital, Hanoi.  I went for an interview at St. Catherine’s.  Before the interview I was very nervous, but once I got to the interview my confidence was high and I answered everything really well!  The teacher allowed me to talk about UK economics.  I thought it would just be about my personal statement, but in fact it was quite academic.  At the end of the interview, the teacher said that if I keep my confidence like this, I will do well at the next stage of interviews.

It’s been quite a big journey for me, but my home city is quite like Cambridge so I adapted well.  Studying at an international college like Bellerbys College is very helpful because the teachers know the difficulties you face as an international student, like language and living.  The students experience the same things and it’s very useful meeting students from different cultures.  I had never talked to a Russian girl before but now I have Russian friends.”
