"For me Politics became interesting when I first began to study it in my German Secondary school at 13. I was interested in how the complex system worked and I was also interested in its origin and the development it has gone through. That is also the reason why I chose to do Politics as one of my A Level subjects in Germany. Another one was English and so it is perfect for me to be able to combine these two fascinating subjects at Bellerbys.

In addition studing Law for the first time is also extremely interesting although it can be quite tough sometimes due to the amount of cases that you have to remember. However, I compare cases to vocabulary. It is vital to know them, otherwise I would not be able to understand it. Same goes for a language; if you don't know the words you are not able to speak it.

The big advantage is to have a very experienced teacher, Ian, in this Law Foundation course who is able to deliver the subjects in a way which is not only easy to understand but also entertaining. So learning really becomes fun and is not a torture. That is very important because it will stick to your mind easier. Even if you are stuck he is always ready to explain it again which is really great. He also is a very helpful person and just loves teaching and this motivates students.

Also students gain some general skills, for instance in CIT where you will learn how to use Word or PowerPoint effectively. The lessons were never dull as Peter, the CIT teacher always has a good joke on his lips and the atmosphere in CIT lessons in general are relaxing."
