"I try to make sure that everybody who uses the Study Centre works in a quiet and relaxed atmosphere. 

I also help students to find the right textbook or tape or CD for their studies, or to use the printer and/or computers.  They are very friendly and keen to gain as much from their time in Oxford as possible, so want to borrow and use the material which the Study Centre has.  One wanted to watch a history film to improve his English and I helped him to pick one out.

I advise students about which books they can read to widen their vocabulary and improve their knowledge of the English-speaking world.  I also respond to general enquiries from students about, for example, where to eat in Oxford city centre, and provide a general point of contact for students."
