Studying GCSEs
"“Be responsible for your own life and enjoy it, is my best wishes to you……” This is what mum told me before I went to the UK to pursue my studies. Whenever I think of it, I will always check my decision again. Am I trying my best? Am I enjoying the new environment? Am I ready for each challenge? I am happy that I have learned a lot from this experience.
Shakespeare said: “To be or not to be, that is a question”. For me, one year ago: “to go or not to go, that was the question”. The smallest influences can have the biggest effect – especially to teenagers. Sometimes, a step will change all the positions of your life. I was so serious about the choice of going to study in a foreign country. The reason why I chose Cambridge finally was not only because it is one of the most famous universities in the word here, but also due to the atmosphere.
The teaching methods here are entirely different from China. Language could be the biggest problem; I am so pleased to see that there is a English language program for students who do not regard English as their mother tongue at my school. My teachers and friends are also helping me a great deal. We share happiness and sadness with each other and I always feel I can be supported in all I do.
I believe that people will give play to themselves amply if they are in the correct condition and I am sure that Bellerbys offers me the chances to succeed in my future life."
