1 Year GCSE and Pre-GCSE

A choice of GCSE courses

We offer a range of GCSE courses to suit different ages and levels of ability. You can choose from Pre-GCSE, our intensive 1 Year GCSE programme or our GCSE Pathway Programme

1 Year GCSE

Study our one-year course if you want to gain up to six GCSE qualifications in core subjects, preparing you for A Level or Foundation study. To develop your learning further we give you time for enrichment activities, sports or music. Enrichment includes clubs such as Young Scientists, Current Affairs, Film, Business and Economics, ARTiculation, Creative Coding and Classics.

Study six GCSEs, including English and Mathematics.

Pre-GCSE

This course is the perfect preparation for the 1 Year GCSE programme if you do not yet have IELTS level 5.0. You'll study a mix of core subjects and English language, and have full-time support from teachers and staff.

1 Year GCSE key facts

Minimum age: 15+ (students must complete the course before the age of 18)
Course length One year: Three terms (September start) or four terms (January start)
Start dates: September, January (Brighton only). See term dates
English language entry requirements: IELTS 5.0.
Entry requirements: Completion of a minimum of 9 years of school in your home country. Good grades and academic references.

Foundation

A one-year course for international students that builds specialist subject knowledge and language and study skills. It is more focussed than A Levels making it good preparation for university. It is recognised for entry onto a range of degree programmes at more than 70 universities in the UK.

A Levels

A Levels are British qualifications, accepted by all universities in the UK and recognised in the USA and Australia. Students who are with us for five or six terms will typically study up to four A Levels. This gives you a world of choice. Students typically study three or four subjects with exams at the end of two years.
