“I love him to death!”. If you had met Chik Soon Neah, you would understand why teacher Sara Bewes says this about him. It was an absolute pleasure to have Chik at Bellerbys London and he will be hugely missed. But now it’s time for him to move onto a new challenge at the London School of Economics. We know he’s going to be a hit there too.
Rene Bradford, Chik’s Economics teacher, describes him as “A passionate student who deep down is a true Economist”. He put in a great deal of work during his A Levels and achieved the results he needed, even though he also took part in a lot of extra stuff outside the classroom.
Not only did he help run the Economics club, but he was also a valued member of the Yearbook Committee and was always cooperative and willing to do his best for the team. It’s no surprise that Maths teacher Clive Cubitt describes him as “mature and solid”. Chik is a great example to other students of how to use your time at Bellerbys to excel academically, whilst also developing yourself personally and socially.
So, how does Chik himself feel about his success? “I'm thoroughly satisfied with my results this year and fortunately, I have met my offer. However, this cannot be achieved without the constant dedication and support teachers at Bellerbys have provided me; they were always around to help with the difficulties I faced with my modules. The studying environment at Bellerbys is wonderful. The relationship between teachers and students at the college is extremely unique - we are like one big family! University will provide me with a new platform to explore, compete and discover; and I eagerly await that. However, I will definitely miss Bellerbys College, and never forget the friends I've made and the teachers I've met”.
