Studying A Levels (Maths, Economics & Accounting)
"England wasn’t actually my first choice when choosing a place to study. I went to Canada first of all but it was too cold for me so I came here!
My sister is here at Birmingham University studying Business Management. She recommended that I study in Oxford as it is a beautiful city and she’s right. Our parents sent us here to study because of the high quality of education in England.
I studied ELP, followed by four-term GCSE and now I’m studying A Levels. The teachers here are very friendly. I don’t have a favourite, I like all of them! I tend to study by myself and then go to teachers if I have a problem. They use the best methods of teaching to help students make the best grade. When I was studying double Science GCSE I found it difficult to understand, especially Biology and Chemistry, but I ended up with good grades – it’s a miracle!
On Tuesday and Wednesday nights I play badminton at a club at Headington Girls School and Cheney School. I live with a host family. The family is brilliant! There are lots of jokes around the table at dinner.
I’m not sure what I’d like to study at university. Maybe Economics and Accounting. I like Economics as it shows what’s going on in society. I don’t want to study in Scotland as it rains all the time! I like Oxford, so who knows...
What I do after university depends on which degree I choose. First of all I’ll probably go back home and help with my dad’s business, or maybe work for the government."
