Although Karina initially wanted to study History of Art at university she changed her mind during her two year A Level course at Bellerbys Brighton, changed her subjects and still achieved the excellent grades required to confirm her place at Cambridge University to study her new interest, Computer Science.

'Karina has a real breadth of intellectual ability and she also shows the enthusiasm and determination to argue her case, as in the Oxbridge group meetings,' said Peter Corcut, Vice Principal at Bellerbys, Brighton. 'She should do well at Cambridge!'.

'It is very different here in Brighton from my home in Russia but it has been a real opportunity to learn about how others live and to meet people from many countries. I feel I am now prepared to face the wider academic world and look forward to my new life at Cambridge!' said Karina.
