Studying A Levels (Politics, Economics, Maths & French)
"I have a deep interest in Politics. England has a good reputation, especially for Social Sciences subjects, so that’s why I chose to study here.
I was introduced to the college by a friend who was already studying at Bellerbys. Bellerbys has a really good reputation in my country.
Oxford has a great historic and artistic environment. I like the feeling of doing my studies here. The college is small so teachers can pay you lots of attention. It’s easy to make friends here and there is no discrimination.
I really enjoy my course. I have a really experienced Politics teacher, Ian, and a young, enthusiastic Economics teacher called Lawrence. It’s a friendly, small environment which means I’ve got to know my teachers well. We talk a lot outside class too.
I’ve made a lot of friends in Oxford, both British and international. At the weekends I usually go ice skating, play pool, walk round the town and visit museums.
My host parents are also teachers at the college! Even at home I can talk to them about things. Sometimes I get the bus to college with them. They are very sporty and highly educated people.
I’d like to study Politics and International Relations at university. Oxford University hopefully, or maybe Warwick or London School of Economics.
After university I feel I can go anywhere! I’m quite interested in working for international institutions. I believe the world can be changed and young people should intervene and help the third world. I’ll probably go back to Vietnam once I've finished my studies but I’m flexible – I can go anywhere that needs me."
