"I was brought up in London (Pakistani father and Dutch mother) and have lived in Brazil, Italy, France and Germany, so come from a very international background.

I have worked for Bellerbys for just over 4 years now.  Before that I was a modern languages teacher (German and French) for many years in several Oxfordshire schools.  I loved teaching languages but felt that I was ready for a change.  Also, I had never had a job in the city of Oxford.  I used to commute by car and now I can cycle into work!

I'm happy working in a busy, international environment.  I spend most of my time helping students to apply university which is really interesting and satisfying.  This is the friendliest place I’ve ever worked in.  Every day is different and full of surprises.  When you come to work in the morning, you never quite know what the day will bring.

Oxford offers tradition as well as modern life.  It is a cosmopolitan, middle sized city with lots to do, lovely countryside nearby as well as London only an hour away.  The university is of course world famous but you should also walk along the river, go punting, browse in the bookshops and take a look at Cowley Road which is truly ethnically diverse and the best place to find good food in Oxford.  It’s certainly a good place for students who are visiting England for the first time."
