Abigail Guillermo

Abigail, 19, achieved three A grade A Levels at Bellerbys Brighton and is now reading Chemistry and Management at Oxford University.

"When I came to Bellerbys College I didn’t know as much about my subjects, but since my grades have improved, my confidence in the classroom has really grown. I’ve made lots of friends from different countries and I’ve really learned to relate to different cultures.  I enjoy my Chemistry lessons the most because the teacher is so passionate about what he’s teaching and he’s passed that on to me," said Abigail.

"We have weekly meetings where other Oxford and Cambridge students talk about their subjects. I have to talk about chemistry and everything surrounding the subject. It makes you so much more confident exchanging opinions. Bellerbys College knows exactly how to teach you so that you’re competitive academically when you go to university.  I stayed in Oxford for three days during my interview and wow, it’s a really nice city!"
