Bolashak Scholarships for Students from Kazakhstan
About the “Bolashak” International Scholarship of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan
Since its introduction in 1993, the Bolashak programme, meaning “the future” in Kazakh, has allowed hundreds of Kazakhstan’s brightest students to study abroad at some of the best universities in the world.
Bolashak students study Bachelor and Masters degrees in subjects which the Kazakh government has identified as priority areas to enable the country to prosper, such as Business, Law, Science and Engineering. Upon graduation, students return to their home country to work in government service for a period of five years.
The scholarship covers all tuition, insurance and accommodation costs, as well as living expenses and travel costs from Kazakhstan to the UK and home again at the end of the period of study.
