Brighton Media Foundation Students Rise to an Exciting New Challenge

We've launched an exciting new enrichment project with Media Foundation students in our Brighton College.

Enrichment activities are an important part of education here at Bellerbys College. We believe that the more ‘hands-on’ experience you have in your chosen subject area, the more knowledge you’ll gain, and the more impressive your university application will become.

That’s why we launched an exciting new enrichment project with Media Foundation students in our Brighton College this week.

The challenge? To produce a series of videos which bring enrichment at Bellerbys to life. These videos will then be shared on our Social Media channels, giving students a taste of the kind of tasks media professionals face every day in the working world.

The students will be planning, filming, editing and posting the videos themselves; however expert help will be on hand. Senior Learning Technologies Coordinator and Media teacher, Rui Da Silva, will be running the project, and our Social Media team will be coaching the students on the best techniques to use.

“Social Media is one of the biggest growth areas within Digital Marketing,” said Social Media Performance Manager, Lisa James.

“Career opportunities are extensive, and this project will give our students the chance to experience how campaigns can work alongside business objectives.”

This ‘real-world’ project is a first for our college, and we look forward to sharing the results with you here over the next few weeks.
