Teachers will prepare you for a bright future in medicine, natural sciences or pharmacy. From the beginning of the new academic year, in September 2014, Bellerbys College Cambridge will be specialising in scientific subjects such as biology, physics, chemistry, and of course mathematics. If you choose a specific combination of subjects you will be able to apply to chemical engineering or computer science and engineering courses offered by many UK universities. Lessons will be held in classrooms with the latest technology and laboratories with all the equipment you will need.

There is a wide variety of subject combinations you can  choose to suit the course you want to study at university. However if you find the scientific subjects to hard you can study an intensive one year foundation course, which is specifically designed according to what you want to study in the future. The foundation course includes English language lessons, so if you do not fell comfortable with your English language level or need to meet university entry, our teachers will make sure that you are a fluent speaker by the end of the course.

From September 2014, Bellerbys Cambridge is going to offer Engineering, Chemical Engineering route, Engineering – Computer Science foundation, Science & Pharmacy as well as Business, Finance & Management and Law foundation courses. More detailed description of each course can be found on the Bellerbys Cambridge website.

If you want to be creative and choose what you really want to study, and you already have specific preferences, then you can select our A-Level course. It is a two-year programme (it can be 3, 5 or 6 terms) that allows you to choose four or three A-Level subjects, which you can concentrate on fully during the two years. Bellerbys Cambridge teachers will provide you with the necessary knowledge you’ll need in order to pass your exams.

You will also get extra information, not just from books and written materials, but by going on field trips and doing really interesting lab experiments related to your course. This will help you to stand out from other university applicants when you come to decide which course you want to study at a higher level after your two years with us at Bellerbys (you can read an article about how to choose your university carefully, where I shared my experience on this topic).

If you are still unsure about what you want to do in future, then our GCSE course is for you. It helps you find the direction in which you want to go, allows you to get into some really different subjects, from different areas, and understand what you want to do next. It gives you a choice. For example, you can study biology and physics along with economics and some other subjects. You will also be doing English and mathematics to prepare you for A-Level or foundation courses.

From September 2014 all students will be studying at the Queens Campus, a historic, beautiful looking building, just a short walk from Cambridge city centre.

There are a lot of activities going on at the Bellerbys campus. From sports – football, basketball, volleyball, tennis, badminton, and so on, to some after-lesson clubs, which can help you get into the university you want, improve your maths, get together with friends and debate some modern issues or simply watch a film during the film club. There is also a wide range of weekend activities, visits to famous places like Shakespeare’s home town or watching a football game at the Wembley stadium. If you can’t find what you want to do on the board of activities at the Queens Campus, then you can contact our Social Activities organiser or talk to one of the Student Representative Committee members and it will be arranged.

I have been a student at Bellerbys College Cambridge for more than two years now and I can say without a doubt that you will really enjoy being here. There are so many people, from so many different countries and we share our knowledge, help each other if we don’t understand something and just hang out and relax after school and during weekends. It is so fun. This has been such a great journey. Believe me.

Hope to see you next year.
