Don’t forget to relax!

It is important to work hard otherwise you will not complete your objectives, but is also important to socialise and enjoy yourself whenever possible. If you can find the time, make sure you also exercise regularly because physical activity is very important to keep us focused and helps with concentration as well as self-discipline. By saying this I don´t mean just to go and join a gym. There are plenty of outdoor parks where you can exercise for free and there are plenty of places to walk around Bellerbys as well. The routine here can be quite demanding so make sure that no matter how busy you are, you take time to relax too. It is also essential to have good management of your time so that you can get the most out of it. Spend your weekend with your friends or family, do something fun/enjoyable with them like shopping or visit new places.

Improve your skills

Getting involved in extracurricular activities and volunteer work are both great and enriching experiences where you can learn a lot. At Bellerbys - college for international students you will surely have a busy and interesting schedule and with some discipline it is possible to fit in other commitments too. Joining clubs and societies is also a great way to meet new people, especially if you are away from home as you will find others who are interested in the same things as you. Choose the activities and clubs that are in your area of interest and you will develop some important skills, like teamwork, communication, organisation and developing your fluency in English if it is not your first language. London is a big city and is constantly changing so try something new once in a while; there is always something different waiting for you. It is essential to not focus just on your academic performance but to get some experience in the real world as well. This will prepare you for your future!

Self-confidence is also really significant. It is important to be confident in your skills and in yourself, and your teachers help you every day to boost your self-esteem. Being a Bellerbys student gives you a sense of pride and identity. The better you feel about yourself, the more likely you are to have a positive view of your life and future goals.

Be happy!

The most important thing to make the most of your time at Bellerbys is to do something you love and study what you like; enjoy every minute and make the most of it and you will feel happy at the end of the day.  Most importantly: make sure you have fun!
