At Bellerbys College London we have a wide variety of activities and discussion groups that you can attend and they are all after classes. We have education-based groups like the Business and Economics Club where every week there is a different speaker to give a talk about topics related to Business or Economics. I attend this club myself and I find it extremely interesting and useful as we cover topics other than the subject syllabus.

Extra-curricular activities are very important and valued here in the UK and are especially useful for university applications as I mentioned in one of my previous articles about UCAS application.

There is also the Politics Club that discuss politics-related topics and participants can also go to talks given at top universities such as LSE (London School of Economics and Political Sciences).

This year we have started a new club: the Science Club. 2014 will be the first year of the Science Club at Bellerbys London, a club created by students with the aim of having a deeper understanding of some science-related topics. It surely seems to be a very attractive/interesting club for students that want to pursue medicine at university.

Furthermore, we also have the Debate Society, where every week students debate for and against many different topics. I consider this club extremely useful because you can improve your communication and debate skills as well as increase your confidence and these are very helpful aspects that will help you thrive in oral presentations.

There are also French and Spanish classes, which are extra-curricular subjects, but you can always take the subject exam if you want to, thus having an extra A-level.

We also have weekly DJ workshops, which are very enjoyable and great fun. If you attend these workshops on a weekly basis you will be able to be a DJ in events organised by Bellerbys such as "Bellerbys Got Talent". For people that like photography there is also a Photography Club where they are able to further develop their photographic abilities. Music can be a great way to relax and a good way to mingle, so if students are really keen they can also join our Music Club. Last but not least, every week there is also the Film Club and the Documentary Club where you can watch a diverse selection of films and documentaries and discuss them afterwards.

Bellerbys London also has many societies such as the Charity Committee that organises events to raise money to give to Building Futures (the college charity). There is also the Newsletter Committee where students are able to write a newsletter for every term with the main events and news that take place in our college. The Graduation Ball Committee prepares for the end of year celebrations, and you can also get involved in creating the annual yearbook.

Finally, as we know studying is hard work, we can relax in the weekly Yoga classes that also take place at our school or if you are sporty you can also join basketball, badminton or football practice.

As you can see, there is an immense variety of extra-curricular activities that you can join and take part in at Bellerbys College London as well as every week there is a different Social Program an example of which you can see below.

All of these contribute to further enrich and consolidate our knowledge and skills and at the same time provide great fun and opportunities to socialise. Bellerbys handles having so many different cultures in one place in the best way possible, by giving us the opportunity to build on our interests, old and new.
