This year at Bellerbys College London, we have 2 classes of Foundation Law running from September 2013. There are three compulsory modules for the first term for this programme and this includes Politics, Law and FES (foundation English skills). Students will be examined at the end of each term based on these three subjects. The first term we cover areas of the English legal system such as distinguishing the differences between civil and criminal law. We will then further develop this area of knowledge by knowing the courts better and visiting them at the Royal Courts of Justice next term.

For anyone who is interested in the Foundation Law Programme, Bellerbys College is the place to be.

In Politics, law students cover the areas of democracy and the Houses of Parliament. Visits to the Parliament and conferences are part of our programme and will be very helpful for exam preparation.

By attending regular English classes, students develop and further improve their analytical, oral and practical skills. Students are usually very active in classrooms as we engage in many oral presentations and essay writing.  These skills can then be applied to our law and politics study and make it easier for us to learn the subject better - going further in depth during our Foundation Law programme.

I love my Foundation programme and my classmates. There are students coming from all over the world to study this programme. Students coming from countries such as Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, Russia, Mexico and more.  The diversity in my classroom has created a very lively and exciting learning atmosphere for everyone and also for the teachers. We usually have chats about how law operates in different countries and societies. Even though we may be overloaded with assignments at times, on the bright side, it is fun to work together with your classmates and our teachers are always there to help. In my experience, Bellerbys offers an excellent preparation Foundation Law Programme for university.
